Frequently asked questions

Is my API data encrypted in transit?
Yes, we only offer secure endpoints
Is my API data encrypted at rest?
Yes, Chaotics uses AWS DynamoDB as a data store and we use AWS Key Managment System (KMS) to encrypt the data.
How is my API data kept private?

When your API is created we share two pieces of information with you:

  • ApiId - This is a universally unique identifier. Only if you have this ID can you request the data from the API.
  • Secret - This is a random alpha numeric string of 16 characters, this is required to make any changes to the API.

It's your responsibility to keep these safe.

What are the usage limits for this tool?
Chaotics is experimenting with what we can offer. If you have problems or a specific requirement, please contact us.
Can I use this in production?
Yes, but there is absolutely no service level agreement (SLA) given. If you would like to talk about an SLA, please contact us.
