Frequently asked questions
- Is my API data encrypted in transit?
- Yes, we only offer secure endpoints
- Is my API data encrypted at rest?
- Yes, Chaotics uses AWS DynamoDB as a data store and we use AWS Key Managment System (KMS) to encrypt the data.
- How is my API data kept private?
When your API is created we share two pieces of information with you:
- ApiId - This is a universally unique identifier. Only if you have this ID can you request the data from the API.
- Secret - This is a random alpha numeric string of 16 characters, this is required to make any changes to the API.
It's your responsibility to keep these safe.
- What are the usage limits for this tool?
- Chaotics is experimenting with what we can offer. If you have problems or a specific requirement, please contact us.
- Can I use this in production?
- Yes, but there is absolutely no service level agreement (SLA) given. If you would like to talk about an SLA, please contact us.
